Thom Robson is an award-winning composer known for crafting elegant, distinctive, and richly emotive scores for film, television, and video games. Originally born in the Midlands, he now lives and works in London. He has contributed music to Emmy, BAFTA, and BIFA-winning projects.
Recent works include ITV & Embankment’s feature documentary Dwarf Story (dir. Ricardo Servini), Limitless (Disney+) starring Liam Hemsworth, Office Royale (dir. Sam Baron), and the BAFTA-nominated, RTS-winning The Push.
Previous credits include the experiential exhibition Walking with Ghosts (Imperial War Museum), Predators (Sky), Everything Is Out To Get Me (Kino Films), and The Wall – Climb for Gold, co-written with Nainita Desai, which critic Mark Kermode named among his top scores of 2022.
Video game projects include critically acclaimed indie game Morphopolis (Micro Macro Games), Borderlands 3 - Love Guns and Tentacles (2K) and the upcoming debut from Videodojo Games, Townbox.
His music has also featured in global hit series including Stranger Things, Chef’s Table, and F1: Drive to Survive. His work has been showcased at major international festivals including Miami International Film Festival, Raindance, HollyShorts, and Flickers Rhode Island International Film Festival (RIIFF). His scores have been nominated for multiple awards, including the British Short Film Awards, and he won Best Original Score at Kino Film Festival 2020 for From Fragments (dir. James Quinn).
He works from his Shoreditch studio, surrounded by vintage synthesisers and keyboards, which he uses to create evocative and characterful scores.
